Former Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has named Mac Allister as a really important player for the Reds this season.
According to Toure, the Argentina international controls the rhythm of the game.
Speaking on the official Liverpool FC Podcast, Toure hailed the World Cup winner after his superb goal in Liverpool’s Premier League 3-1 win over Sheffield United on Thursday.
The Ivorian said: “I think for me, he’s the guy who controls the rhythm of the game. You can see when he wants to accelerate the game, he can do it.
“When he wants to slow down the game, he can do it as well. And when the ball ended up with him, you knew what was going to happen. Unbelievable strike. I think he is an important player for the team.”
