The Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Matthew Kukah, will on Friday, April 12, 2024, deliver the memorial lecture of the late founder of the ClEEN Foundation, Innocent Chukwuma, in Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Executive Director of ClEEN Foundation, Gad Peter, on Wednesday.
The lecture with the theme ‘The Power of One: Dreams and Nightmares: Thoughts on Innocent Chukwuma.’ is set to celebrate the influence and legacy of Innocent Chukwuma and his unwavering efforts in improving social justice and good governance in the nation.
According to the statement, the lecture is open to anyone who supports a just society, and the legacy of the late Innocent Chukwuma.
It added that the lecture also aims to encourage individuals to pursue their dreams and enhance their ability to better both themselves and other people’s lives.
The statement partly reads, Bishop Kukah, in this lecture, will focus on the power of one man, Innocent Chukwuma, and how he made a difference, impacted his world, and left an enduring legacy.
“The title of this second lecture underscores the significance of individual agency in shaping our collective future. The lecture series is dedicated to the memory of Innocent Chukwuma, the human rights advocate, intellectual, and visionary leader who left an indelible mark on our society. “His tireless efforts in the pursuit of social justice, good governance, gender equity, and empowerment of the marginalised continue to inspire generations.”
