Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede has expressed hope that Nigeria someday would overcome incidences of corruption and other associated evils bedevilling it.
He added that since Christ Jesus was able to overcome the corruption of death and rose to a glorious life of victory, the people could as well overcome issues of corruption.
Olukoyede stated this in his goodwill message on Sunday commemorating the Easter celebration.
The EFCC boss tasked Nigerians to, in the spirit of the celebration, emulate the virtues of Christ which is devoid of evil and fraud.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians to make deliberate efforts to rid themselves of all forms of corruption and sharp practices in all their endeavors noting that such would make the nation better and habitable.
The message read, “As Christ overcame the corruption of death and rose to a glorious life of victory, love and light, may we also overcome corruption and associated evils in our nation.”
