Good afternoon and welcome to our live coverage of Saturday’s five Premier League three o’clock kick-offs. There’s some mouth watering ties on show today, not least Nottingham Forest v Crystal Palace, a barnstorming battle at the bottom half of the table.
Both Oliver Glassner and Nuno Espirito Santo are under the cosh to keep their sides in the top flight of English football. A win for either would mean so much. Glassner spoke in his Friday afternoon press conference saying wins in their next three games should be enough to keep Palace up.
For Nuno, he’ll be expecting his side to come out firing with a hint of vengeance to their play after Forest were deducted points by an independent commission who ruled they had breached the league’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR). The points deduction dropped them into the relegation zone, so the win will certainly mean more to them.
In the day’s other 3pm clashes Chelsea take on struggling Burnley at Stamford Bridge. Burnley are currently five points off the drop zone and desperate for a win, no more than Luton who take on Spurs, Sheffield United who are at home to an in-form Fulham and Everton who go away to Bournemouth. Safe to say it’s a big day for the Premier League basement dwellers.
