The management of Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery has declared that candidates seeking admission into Basic Nursing must go through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The institution made this declaration via a statement made available to Arogidigba Global Journal by the Provost of the College, Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi.
Arogidigba Global Journal reports that the college is one of the tertiary educational institutions own by the Oyo State Government.
Owolabi, in the statement issued on Thursday, said that the institution will not compromise its standards.
She further maintained that admission into the institution would be based on merit.
Owolabi while speaking further said that Post UTME forms would be available at the college after the release of results for those who attained the cut off mark of 200 and above.
The provost added that the institution has extended the sale of the form by four weeks after the initial deadline of 20th March, 2024.
She concluded by saying that the aim of the extension was to create more time for prospective students who might still be interested in obtaining the form.
“Admission into Basic Nursing is now through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The College will not compromise her standard as admission would strictly be based on merit.
“Post UTME form would be available at the College after the release of result for those who attained the cut off mark of 200 and above in their exam.
“The College has extended the sale of Basic Midwifery Form with four weeks after the initial deadline of 20th March, 2024. The main aim of the extension is to create more time for prospective students who might still be interested in obtaining the form.
“The Computer Based Test (CBT) is now scheduled to hold on the 22nd- 24th of April while the interview date is slated for 2nd and 3rd May, 2024.”
