Kingmakers in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Tuesday, started the process for the enthronement of the Balogun of Ibadanland, Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The kingmakers, who are the High Chiefs in Ibadan, are currently in a crucial meeting for the ratification of Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The statutory kingmakers and members of the Olubadan-in-Council are; Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja; the Osi Olubadan, Eddy Oyewole Foko; the Ashipa Olubadan, Abiodun Kola-Daisi; the Ekerin Olubadan, Hamidu Ajibade; the Ekarun Olubadan, Adebayo Akande; the Otun Balogun, Tajudeen Ajibola; the Osi Balogun, Lateef Adebimpe; the Ashipa Balogun, Kola Adegbola; Ekerin Balogun, Dada Isioye and the Ekarun Balogun, Abiodun Azeez.

The meeting, coordinated by Ladoja, is being held at Olubadan Palace located in the Oja Oba area of Ibadan.
“Yes. There is a meeting now. Ladoja is the one coordinating the meeting.
“He is the one to do that being the most senior after the next Olubadan. They are currently meeting at the palace in Oja Oba,” a source told Arogidigba Global Journal.
