Kebbi Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, on Thursday distributed assorted grains put at N16.60 billion as palliatives to cushion the effect of hardships that are ravaging the lands and also to serve as Ramadan rewards to Muslims faithful across the State.
In his speech at the ceremony, the governor said the gesture was in accordance with his administration’s compassionate desire as a caring government as he warned that severe consequences await any government official who would divert the commodities.

Governor Idris warned distribution committees at all levels against any form of sharp practice or cutting corners, pointing out that any government official found diverting the grains would be severely dealt with and removed from office.
