A leading governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Chief Olusola Oke, has pledged to open up rural communities through massive construction of roads and infrastructural development, stating that this would be a top priority.
Oke, who made this statement during his tour of the 18 local government areas of the state ahead of the APC primary, also promised to focus on transportation, housing, education, healthcare, power generation, and security of the state.
He further pledged to make farmers in the state employers of labor, with a promise to support them through loans and the provision of modern farm equipment to enhance their output.
Utilizing his wealth of experience, Oke assured the people of the state that if given the opportunity to represent the party, he would revitalize the state’s economy.
The APC gubernatorial aspirant emphasized that more attention would be directed towards grassroots development to improve the quality of life for residents.
Oke assured the people that he would ensure the accessibility of roads to rural areas to encourage family life and ensure food security.
“I am here to serve you, and I will not let you down. Please lend me your support. The fact that God spared my life is a testament to my purpose, which is to serve you,” Oke declared.
During his visit to Akoko North-West Local Government Area, where he met with local government, ward, and unit leaders of the party, Oke outlined his programs, including support for women, farmers, widows, and youth development.
He promised to govern with transparency and ensure that the benefits of democracy reach the people of the state.

Oke affirmed that market women would receive assistance to alleviate their hardships, and farmers would be encouraged to provide food for citizens.
“I want to make it clear to you today that if you choose me as the party’s candidate and ultimately elect me as the governor of Ondo State, I will deliver good governance,” Oke assured.
The APC chairman in the local government area, Mr. Kehinde Obanla, acknowledged Oke’s contributions and urged party members to support him to improve the state’s fortunes.
He appealed to party members to vote for the Ilaje-born politician to secure the party’s ticket.
“Our consensus is that the aspirant’s name is marketable. Chief Olusola Oke has consistently supported party members, and it’s time to reciprocate that support,” Obanla stated.
The local government women leader, Princess Opeyemi Funmilayo, praised Oke’s unique leadership qualities and stated, “Olusola Oke’s intellectual capacity sets him apart from other contestants.”
