Nigerians have shared their advice with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on how to address the pressing issue of insecurity in the country.
This comes in the wake of the widespread security challenges Nigeria is grappling with, including abductions and terrorism.
Concerned citizens who participated in a post on Tribune Online’s social media platforms offered a variety of suggestions on ways to combat insecurity in Nigeria.
A Facebook user, @Leonard Ndibe said, “Social exclusion is tied to poverty and poverty is in turn tied to insecurity. Then address the issue of social exclusion.”
@Noel Amadu commented “employ more security personnel by handing over the federal roads to the military, state road to the federal police, and local government road to state police making 4 galant men to a 20pole distance and make all federal and state roads motor able.”

Another user, @Ayub Abdulganeey suggested “continuous recruitment of security personnel in all capacity, equip the security personnel efficiently and motivate them with an awesome salary & incentive.”
“Enlighten the youth of Nigeria that being used for criminal act is dangerous to there future. Increase employment rate so that the youth will be busy for something. And instruct our religious leader to stop the preach of hatred in there synagogue”, Oyediran Adediran Jeleel opined.
Ebunoluwa Temitope said, “Make him try empower youth by creating more employment by signing peace corps to law in other to join the existing security to combat the security challenge in this country.”
