Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has described defender Ben White’s long-term new contract with the club as ‘great news’.
Arteta said White is a top professional and a key player for the Gunners.
Arsenal had on Thursday confirmed that the England star has signed a new long-term deal with the Premier League North London club.
Reacting, Arteta told the club’s official website: “It’s great news that Ben is committing his future to the club. Ben is a key player for us, a top professional with a winning mentality, and one of the guys who leads by example every day.
“Ben’s ability, determination and positive attitude are so important, but he is also a great character and human being.
“We all look forward to continuing working with Ben in the coming years.”
White joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in July 2021.
He has established himself as a key member of the team, making 122 Arsenal appearances in all competitions.
