Manchester City Defender, Manuel Akanji has responded to Liverpool star, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s recent comments about City’s treble-winning season.
Last year, Man City made history by clinching the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and the FA Cup.
However, Alexander-Arnold claimed that Liverpool’s recent trophies meant more to the fans than City’s triumphs.
In response, Akanji, a part of that treble-winning team, dismissed the comments,
He said via Yahoo Sports (h/t @FabrizioRomano) that “Alexander-Arnold’s words? I don’t know why he said it. He didn’t even play. He can’t tell because he didn’t win it.
“If you win three titles in one year, or five which we did, then he can speak.”
