The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has confirmed Monday first day of Ramadan in Nigeria.
The President General, the Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs stated this in a broadcast at his palace in Sokoto on Sunday evening.
According to a post on the official account of the National Moonsighting Committee Nigeria, “The Sultanate has confirmed a single sighting claim and His Eminence the Sultan will soon make an announcement. Ramadan Mubarak.”
