The Kano State Fire Service saved six lives and property valued at N107 million from 74 fire incidents it recorded in February 2024.
The Public Relations Officer of the agency, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, made this disclosure in an interview with newsmen on Friday in Kano.
According to him, four persons lost their lives, while property valued at N64 million were destroyed by fire during the period.
“The service responded to seven rescue calls and 10 false alarms from residents of the state,” he said.
He, therefore, advised the general public to handle fire with care.
