Uganda star, Ronald Madoi has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to overcome Nigeria, Arogidigba Global Journal reports.
The East Africans will be looking to upset the Flying Eagles when they clash in a Group B contest of the Africa Games 2023 at the Accra Sports Stadium today.
The Hippos lost 1-0 to Ladan Bosso’s side the last time both teams met around a year ago in Ismaila, Egypt.
Madoi is, however, upbeat of a positive outcome this time around.
“My colleagues and I are ready to show Nigeria that a lot has changed since we last met,” the defender told a press conference in Accra.
“There is nothing new in football these days, including surprises.”
The game will kick-off at 9pm Nigeria time.
