At least five people were killed in a Russian missile strike that struck near a convoy carrying Volodymyr Zelensky.
Mr Zelensky was on his way to meet the Greek prime minister in Odesa when the missile landed “very close” to the president, Kyriakos Mitsotakis told reporters.
Ukraine has launched an investigation into the attack, which took place around 10.40am yesterday, and the total number of casualties is still being determined, a Ukrainian military spokesman said.
Russia MilBlogger Rybar reported that the strike was not a deliberate attempt to target President Zelensky, but rather a “coincidence”.
“You see who we’re dealing with. They don’t care where they strike,” said Mr Zelensky. “I know there were casualties today. I don’t know all the details yet, but I know there were casualties – dead and wounded.”
