The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has admonished members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC posted to the state to prioritise innovation and entrepreneurship skills.
This is as the governor also asked the corps members to actively engage with the communities to which they will be posted for the compulsory one-year service.
This admonition was contained in Adeleke’s address at the terminal parade and official closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 orientation course at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede.
A total number of 1126 corps members were deployed to the state comprising 573 males and 553 females.
Also, 1097 dislodged from Lagos State were also deployed to the state for the three-week orientation course.
Adeleke who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye also urged the corps members to think outside the box and create opportunities where none existed.
In his words, “I also implore you to prioritise innovation and entrepreneurship in your endeavours. The future belongs to those who are willing to think outside the box and create opportunities where none exist. As young and dynamic individuals, you have the power to drive positive change and shape the future of our country.
