The African Representative of the Prowess University, Delaware, USA, Professor Eze Nwauba has stated solutions to the current economic hardship challenges in Nigeria.
Nwauba noted that the hardship calls for immediate solutions adding that all hands must be on deck in a bid to find solutions to economic hardships.
He added that all citizens including politicians have a role to play in putting an end to the hardships faced in Nigeria.
Professor Nwauba said this on Saturday during the 10th Leadership summit, induction “Institute of Arts Management & Professionals” and honorary doctorate degree award of the Prowess University held at University of Lagos, Lagos.
The university don proposed the need for the reduction of the cost of governance of state governments.
He further added that in a bid to find solutions to the hardship, the government should as well give assistance to small scale industries which according to him must be placed under strict monitoring and evaluation team.
Nwauba also in his speech emphasised on the need to invest more in Agriculture adding that Nigerians must go back to the agrarian system of sustainability.
While he charged all University Academias to go into research and proffer solutions to the worrisome economic challenges.

“The economic hardship faced by Nigerians calls for an immediate solution. The solution is not left only within the confines of the government, the solution is all encompassing , all hands must be on deck , politicians ,other citizens and every sector of the economy have a role to play.
“The government should cut short the cost of governance ,that is the sacrifice that is needed at a time like this and has to start at the to.
“Assistance should be rendered to small scale industries and this must be placed under a monitoring and evaluation team.
“On the part of the citizens, we need to make a shift in our lifestyle and venture into production.
“We need to invest more in Agriculture , as a matter of fact I propose that every household must go back to the agrarian system of sustainability where every household must have a garden for farming.
“The government can invest in Mechanise agriculture by giving out farming equipment to farmers whether as loan or gift.
“The educational sector has a role to play,
It is time for top academics such as Professors to go back to research and proffer solutions to this worrisome national economic challenges.
“The educational curriculum has to be redesigned in such a way that technical education, practical education and entrepreneurship education will encourage skills that will remove the shackle of independency , white collar job and thereby create more employment opportunities.
“Finally strict, powerful punitive measures should be taken against corrupt politicians”, he concluded.
