President Bola Tinubu has asked Nigerians to be patient during these tough economic times as Nigeria would recover.
He said he’s aware of the problems caused by government decisions and takes responsibility.
The President said, “Nigeria will survive the current economic challenges. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I requested the job, and I am not complaining about it. I take full responsibility.”
Tinubu said this during his visit to a leader in Ondo State and also gave condolences to the family of the late Rotimi Akeredolu.
People are upset about high living costs due to fuel subsidy removal and economic changes by Tinubu. The Nigeria Labour Congress protested, demanding action in two weeks.
In response, Tinubu said, “Nigeria will get through this. I asked for this job, and I take full responsibility.”
He assured that Nigeria is meeting international obligations and emphasised his commitment to economic and social progress.
“We are meeting our obligations to the international community. To lenders, we have not defaulted, and we are not going to default. We are navigating the twists and bends on the road to Nigeria’s prosperity.”
Tinubu thanked Nigerians for their support and promised their patience will not be in vain. He aims for fiscal responsibility and true federalism.
Afenifere, a sociopolitical group, supported Tinubu, praising his dedication. They urged him to be fair, courageous, and focus on institutional reforms. They also suggested state governments use funds wisely for development.
