The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Dekina, Kogi State, has ended with the final submission of the report of the five-man panel led by Usman Abuh, popularly known as Alapa.
The committee also submitted its final resolution to the party stakeholders headed by Chief John Odawn JP, the state pioneer party chairman.
The stakeholders, in an accompanying letter, also endorsed the removal of Alhaji Ibrahim Husseini Ejini as the Divisional chairman.
The removed state chairman was nominated to replace late Sani Dr Hook.
Ejini, accused of diverting money meant for the completion of party secretariat in Dekina, was also indicted of anti-party activity, extorting money from various party aspirants, collecting money from other party candidates such as All Progressives Congress, APC.
He was also alleged to have collected money from African Democratic Congress, ADC, candidate of the immediate gubernatorial election.
Husseini Ejini, through his private interaction with the committee chairman and secretary, admitted that he was not the only one who took the money, adding that some of the ward chairmen who are accusing him of stealing the money are also guilty of the same offence.
He revealed that money meant for their various wards were also stolen by those people.
The former divisional chairman also admitted to the disciplinary committee chairman that even some stakeholders of the party who participated in the last gubernatorial election also shared some part of the money with him.
Asked to come out openly and disclose the identity of other ward chairmen also guilty but refused to show up on the appointed date, he said they had something to hide.
In a related development, in its effort to purge the party, Dekina PDP also expelled Abocho ward Chairman, Hon Obaka Adofu; Hon Daniel Abimaje of Oduh 2; and Hon. Enefola Benjamin, who started a civil servant job with Kogi State University, while Abocho and Oduh Ward 2 were suspended for diverting money meant for the party activity.
Recall that Ejini had been suspended indefinitely.
Before his indefinite suspension, he was accused of misappropriating N19 million from the party’s account and issuing threats to members.
