The Jos Electricity Distribution Company has announced that their customers in Gombe State will experience blackout on Tuesday and Wednesday due to an annual maintenance exercise in the region.
According to a statement by Dr Friday Adakole Elijah, the Head of Corporate Communications, the maintenance exercise is part of the Annual Preventive Maintenance Exercise by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
“The management of Jos Electricity Distribution Company wishes to inform its esteemed customers that there will be a power outage in the Gombe region to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) technical crew to carry out an Annual Preventive Maintenance exercise on T2A-150MVA Transformer at 330KV Gombe TS,” the statement read.
The management of the distribution company has advised customers to bear with the situation, as the exercise is necessary to ensure the continued reliability of power supply in the region.
