The protest embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress and organised civil societies has started in Osun State.
Arogidigba Global Journal gathered on Tuesday that the protest kicked off at the Freedom Park, Osogbo.
The protest was called upon over the current economic situation in Nigeria.
Arogidigba Global Journal also recalled that the NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, had, on February 8, issued a 14-day nationwide strike notice to the Federal Government over the failure to implement the agreements reached on October 2, following the removal of the fuel subsidy.
The Federal Government’s failure to fulfill its promises after the ultimatum led to the protest.
Organised labour, had last Monday in Osun State begun mobilising its members for the nationwide protests over the high cost of living in the country.
