Ondo State Governor, Honourable Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been lauded for his wisdom, patience, and courage, which saved the state from an impending crisis.
The Chairman/CEO of West African Petrogas Global Limited, Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle, gave the commendation on Wednesday when he paid a solidarity visit to the governor at his office in Alagbaka, Akure.
Adewinle, whose company was incorporated as a private indigenous multi-billion naira firm in the oil and gas sector, appreciated the governor for his policy initiatives that have brought sanity to the state.
In his words, the resolve to solidarise with Governor Aiyedatiwa was informed by the events of the past few months in the state, including the saga of impeachment and the attendant political miasma, and the eventual will of God, which elevated an embattled deputy governor to become a governor.
According to Adewinle, Governor Aiyedatiwa, through his wisdom, patience, and courage, saved the state from the possibility of a crisis. He declared support for the governor’s ambition to contest the seat in the forthcoming election, adding that his conviction was based on the fact that “you don’t show love from a distance.”
The Ode-Aye-born investment icon declared support for the emergence of Aiyedatiwa as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his eventual victory in the gubernatorial election. He offered to serve as a member of the finance sub-committee of the campaign organization whenever it is constituted.

Adewinle, who had earlier commiserated with the governor and the people of Ondo State on the passing of the former governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, asked the governor to continue in his stride to reposition the state on the path of greatness.
Reacting, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed joy that the number of prominent indigenes who have come to declare support for him and his re-election had increased with the visit of Dr. Adewinle. According to Aiyedatiwa, one may have a good cause, but if there is no support from the people, it could be discouraging. While thanking the guest for his promised support, Governor Aiyedatiwa encouraged him to channel some investments into the state.
