Following the appointment of former Commissioner for Works in Osun State, Mr Remi Omowaiye as the Executive Director, Project Implementation of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), a group, identified as Team Beta Naija, has lauded President Bola Tinubu, saying his decision will further drive development in the agency.
They expressed optimism that Omowaiye, who served the duo of ex-governor Rauf Aregbesola and immediate past governor Gboyega Oyetola, of Osun State, as commissioner for science and innovation and works, respectively will explore his experience and expertise to bear positively on the management of FHC.
In a statement forwarded to the Tribune online, Team Beta Naija, a socio-political group, working for the entrenchment of good governance and the propagation of the laudable achievements of Tinubu’s administration, said the appointment of the new executive director of FHC was deserving, considering his contributions to humanity and communal development.
The statement signed by the group’s director of media and publicity, Mustafa Ahmed Tijani reads: “We thank President Bola Tinubu for finding our convener worthy of being in his administration. We equally thank our leaders, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola and Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, who is the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, for their support in making this possible.
“Over the years, Engineer Oluremi Omowaiye has distinguished himself as a technocrat and politician whose track record of service in private and public sectors is outstanding and full of achievements.
“The Osun-born engineer is also an astute reformer, staunch progressive, and is deeply committed to diverse platforms and organisations, including Team Beta Naija, to rally support for President Tinubu’s administration.
“We are quite confident in his ability and competence to deliver. We are sure of his credibility, team player attributes as well as his commitment to making government work for the people.
“Team Beta Naija, at its inception in 2021, focused on a life-changing initiative. Apart from its routine campaign and sensitisation efforts, the team also organised free medical outreach and support for the less privileged, among other laudable programmes,” the statement concluded.
