The Emir of Bungudu, the Emirate Council of Bungudu Local Government Area in Zamfara State, Alhaji Hassan Attahiru, has lauded the efforts of member federal House of Representatives Abdulmalik Zubairu for the construction of a women and children community hospital in Bungudu town, saying the members have demonstrated good representation.
The Emir, who was speaking on Thursday during the flagging off of medical outreach at Zubairu Bawa Women and Children Community Hospital Bungudu, appreciated the development brought by Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu to his constituents.
He described the lawmaker as a person with people at heart who always wants to better the lives of his constituents. He said the people of his constituents have now started seeing and enjoying democracy.
“We are proud of your representation; you demonstrate good representation, and you are truly our own.”. Emir lauded.
Earlier on, the Zamfara state chairman of the Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN), Alhaji Kabiru Jangeru, appreciated the efforts of Rep. Abdulmalik Zubairu for support and encouragement of IMAN activities in the state.
He disclosed that the medical outreach is for 3 days, from Thursday to Saturday, and urged people in the area to come for free examinations and medication.
Also speaking, the national president of IMAN, Dr Salisu Ismail, was accompanied by the national secretary of IMAN Medical Outreach, Professor Hajara, who said IMAN assists less privileged patients in all the hospitals across the state and the country at large.
The IMAN national president explained that the association was established 35 years ago, with the aim of assisting the less privileged and having members across the country.
“We have 26 state branches in the country, with over 50 countries as members.”.
In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director of Zubairu Bawa Women and Children Community Hospital, Dr. Lawal Isah Bungudu, lauded the giant efforts of the Reps members for the construction of the hospital in the area.
He revealed that the hospital was established with the name Women and Children Community Hospital to meet the demand of mostly women and children in the area.
According to him, over 1500 patients are expected to receive medical outreach at the hospital.
” The hospital has departments such as dialysis, a fully equipped laboratory, a dental department, and an x-ray department.”
