Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has declared his administration will see to the possibility of deploying technology for effective fight against all forms of crimes across the state.
The Governor made the declaration late Tuesday evening while speaking at the 2023 End of the Year party and award ceremony organised by the State Command of Nigeria Police Force.
He explained that effective use of technology would assist the state government to deal decisively with criminals particularly bandits who are operating from the forests across the state.
Bala Mohammed appreciated the Police and other security agencies working in the state for their tireless efforts towards tackling security challenges across the state.
The Governor pledged to continue to provide them with a conducive environment to discharge their responsibilities diligently.
He also acknowledged the harmonious operational relationship between his administration and security agencies in the state and emphasized the need for synergy among all the stakeholders to achieve the desired objectives.
The Governor reassured that his administration will not relent in ensuring the maintenance of law and order in the state for investment opportunities which will contribute to economic development.
Bala Mohammed therefore expressed gratitude to the Police for presenting him with an award of excellence in recognition of his administration’s unwavering commitment towards the promotion of peace and security.
He said that the award will encourage him to do more for security services to operate effectively.
The Governor received the award alongside his wife, the State First Lady, Haj Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed, some Commissioners, Caretaker Committee Chairmen, some individuals and Journalists in the state.
On his part, the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed explained that the award presented to Governor Bala Mohammed was in appreciation of his administration’s huge investment in the maintenance of peace and security across the state.
He also said that the State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed was presented with an award of Excellence as the champion against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
The CP assured that the command will continue to collaborate with other sister security agencies in combating crimes and criminality across the state.
