The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has confirmed former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara as its Chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT.
The party also lamented the current economic situation in the country, describing it as unbearable.
The PDP BoT said it was deeply concerned watching the country’s economy gradually move into an irreparable state.
The BoT held its 76th meeting on Tuesday, where it also confirmed a former Kaduna State governor, Ahmed Makarfi as Secretary.
Before his confirmation on Tuesday, Wabara was in an acting position for about 18 months following the resignation of Walid Jibrin in 2022.
The party BoT issued a communique at the end of the meeting on Tuesday, expressing “deep concerns over the biting economic hardship…”
The party said the situation was occasioned by the ill-implemented policies of the All Progressives Congress, APC, administration.
The BoT also lamented the worsening insecurity in the country and the fall of the Naira to an abysmal N1,500 to the dollar.
“The BoT calls on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to know that the situation in the country has become unbearable,” it added.
