The Israeli prime minister told a faction meeting of his party Likud: “Our goal is a complete victory over Hamas. We will kill the Hamas leadership, therefore we must continue to act in all areas of the Gaza Strip”. The pledge comes as the Israeli leader is facing major questions over whether the IDF can complete its goals of defeating Hamas in Gaza.

Detectives hunting for the chemical attack suspect have arrested and bailed a 22-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender. Investigators are trawling through hundreds of hours of CCTV and have tracked Ezedi’s movements on the Tube network via his bank card, with the latest sighting now on Southwark Bridge at 9.50pm on Wednesday.
