South Africa central defender, Grant Kekana, has said that the Bafana Bafana would do everything to get a positive result in their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, semi-final clash with Nigeria.
The Mamelodi Sundowns defender spoke ahead of the semifinal game between Nigeria and South Africa, which comes up on Wednesday.
South Africa beat Cape Verde 2-1 on penalties to book a spot in the semi-finals on Saturday and will now tackle Nigeria at the Stade de la Paix, Bouaké.
Wednesday’s clash against the Super Eagles is expected to be South Africa’s toughest clash at the ongoing AFCON.
Kekana told reporters in the mixed zone, “Obviously it’s another tough opponent. We know Nigeria has a lot of quality players, we know they’ve done well to also get this far but we believe in ourselves.
“We are going to go to the drawing board, plan accordingly and give ourselves a chance of getting a positive result against them.”
