Akwa United have assured the club’s supporters that the team will improve in the second stanza of the 2023/23 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.
The Promise Keepers failed to lived up to the supporters’ expectations in the first half of the season.
Former handler of the side, Fatai Osho left the post due to the team’s poor showing.
“We are going to fight and get positive results in the second stanza,” the club chairman Paul Bassey said in a chat with sportreverend.
“We believe that with the impressive end to the first stanza of the league we can build on that going to the next round.”
Akwa United currently occupy 15th position in the table with 21 points.
The second half of the 2023-24 NPFL season will resume on February 14.
