Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa of Ondo State has appointed six commissioner nominees to be screened by the State House of Assembly as members of his cabinet.
The appointment also included three special advisers whose names had been forwarded to lawmakers for confirmation.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Ebenezer Adeniyan, who said the names of the new appointees had been sent to the Assembly for confirmation.
He listed the commissioner nominees to include Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, Olukayode A. Ajulo, Engr. Razaq Obe, Emmanuel Igbasan, Akinwumi Sowore, and Oseni Oyeniyi.
Adeniyan listed the special advisers as follows: former member of the House of Assembly, Hon. Olugbenga Omole, as Special Adviser on Information and Strategy; Mrs. Olamide Falana, as Special Adviser on Gender Affairs; and Alabi Johnson, Special Adviser on Energy.
He said, “Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation the names of six commissioner nominees.
“The Governor has also appointed the three individuals as special advisers.”
The appointment of the commissioners and special advisers came less than 24 hours after the inauguration of Olayide Adelami as the state deputy governor.
