Barring any late minute injuries, Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro will stick to same line-up and tactics for his side’s quarter-final clash with Angola, reports Arogidigba Global Journal.
The three-time champions will look to earn a place in the semi-final when they square up against the Palancas Negras at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Friday.
Peseiro switched to a 3-4-3 formation following the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea in their opening fixture at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The West Africans have since recorded three wins on the bounce against hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau and Cameroon.
Against Cameroon, Stanley Nwabali started in goal but couldn’t finish the game after sustaining a mild ligament injury.
The Chippa United shot stopper has now been cleared to be in goal against the Palancas Negras.
Peseiro will also stick with the trio of vice-captain William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey in central defence.
Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi will once again take up the right and left-wing back positions.
The duo of Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi will take charge of the midfield.
Talismanic forward, Victor Osimhen will lead the attack and will be supported by Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon.
