The Chairman of Abia Warriors, John Obu, has revealed that the team will continue to play their matches at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
Abia Warriors were recently banned from playing their home games in Umuahia by the Nigeria Premier Football League board following the poor state of the pitch.
Obuh said the pitch has undergone renovation during the mid-season break.
“Actually, we have done a lot of work on the pitch since we received the NPFL directives,” he told the club’s media.
“We have improved on the state of the pitch, and it will be very okay to host matches as soon as the league resumes.
“We intend to conduct a media tour of the stadium, and invite the leadership of the NPFL to come for a first-hand inspection before the resumption of the league.”
Abia Warriors will face Remo Stars when the second round of the NPFL season resume next month.
