Following Supreme Court victory last Friday, the Special Adviser to Kebbi Governor on Infrastructure, Abubakar Gari-Malam, has expressed the determination of Governor Nasir Idris to provide developmental structures across all sectors of economy in the State.
Gari-Malam stated this while addressing newsmen in his country home of Birnin-Kebbi, the Kebbi State Capital, adding that the victory at the Apex Court had cleared all obstacles on the path of the Governor, which enabled him to concentrate more in providing projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people.
He pointed out that with his government facing litigations at Tribunal and Appellant Courts, the State Capital township roads and the ultramodern State Secretariat did not stop, these are the courage of our Governor.
The politician pointed out further that, at the moment township roads are being constructed in Yauri to solve the lingering problem of bad roads in the town, noting that very soon viable projects would be done in Zuru and Argungu and some urban and semi-urban towns across the state.
On the deplorable Dabai-Mahuta-Koko road that seemingly defied solution, the retired Deputy Comptroller of Customs said Governor Idris was working round the clock to ensure that the contract initially awarded to construct the road was cancelled due to his incompetence and be rewarded to a firm that would diligently and effectively do the job due to the socioeconomic relevance of the road to the people of Zuru Emirate.
He reiterated that the dream of the present Administration was to bequeath a vibrant and developed state to the next administration in the next eight years when social amenities, roads, schools, hospitals, recreational centres amongst many other projects would be professionally and qualitatively executed.
He therefore called on the people of the State to support the present administration to achieve its developmental objectives.
