Wikki Tourists head coach, Azeez Audu has commended his players for playing to instructions in their 1-1 draw against Zamfara United.
Audu said the players showed commitment towards gaining a point in the game.
Former Shooting Stars forward, Promise Damala opened scoring for Wikki Tourists on 15 minutes before Zamfara United equalised from the spot through Abdullahi Ayoyo towards the end of the game.
“We are grateful to God for the victory and the one point recorded is a plus to us,” he said in a post-match interview.
“My boys did well and played to the instructions with a high level of commitment.
“We are going back to Bauchi and prepare for the next game that’s in the second round until the end and we find ourselves in the playoff and subsequently back to the NPFL by God’s grace.”
Wikki Tourists remain top of the NNL table with 16 points.
