The member representing Eket/Onna/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has felicitated the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno on his recent victory.
Pastor Umo Eno among governors in Nigeria, was recently affirmed as politically elected, legally inaugurated and judicially confirmed Governor of their states.
The many felicitations to Eno, including that of Hon. Etteh, came on the heels of the Justice Uwani Abba-Aji-Panel dismissal of the appeals by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and the New Nigerian Progressives Party (NNPP), based on the non-qualification of Pastor Eno over allegations of certificate forgery.
Speaking at the weekend with select journalists in Uyo, Etteh maintained that “the apex Court ruling has put paid to speculations, intimidations and all activities of the oppositions. It has repositioned Akwa Ibom for peace, unity, progress, and prosperity.”
The National Assemblyman congratulated the State Governor on the well-deserved victory and called on stakeholders and the people of the state to “join hands and make the Akwa Ibom Project, as led by Pastor Umo Eno, a success for all.”
Speaking further, Hon. Etteh, who is the Deputy Chairman of the House of Reps Committee on University Education said “Pastor Umo Eno has shown resilience, steadfastness, and commitment to the Akwa Ibom project as enshrined in the ARISE Agenda by his action in the political development of Akwa Ibom State. To this end, I sincerely congratulate him on this landmark victory.”
