Bayern Munich defender, Matthijs de Ligt is open to leaving the Bundesliga champions amid renewed interest from Manchester United.
Sky Germany reports that the 24-year-old is likely to leave Bayern in the summer should the right offer come in for him.
De Ligt played under Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag during their time together at Ajax.
The centre-back was one of the stars of Ten Hag’s Ajax side which reached the UEFA Champions League semi-final back in 2019, before he joined Juventus later that year.
Ten Hag was thought to be keen to sign De Ligt following his arrival at Man United in 2022 only for the player to join Bayern Munich.
However, with the Red Devils looking to bring in a new long-term option at the back at the end of the season, De Ligt is again a target for the Premier League club.
Their hopes of bringing him to Old Trafford have been boosted by reports claiming the Netherlands international is not happy with his current role at Thomas Tuchel’s side and will consider a move away at the end of the season.
De Ligt has started just four league matches this season as Dayot Upamecano and Kim min-Jae are ahead of him at Bayern.
