Judgment is about to be delivered in the Nasarawa State governorship appeal.
This is the only state where the two leading parties were made to sign a peace pact following concerns that violence might break out after the judgment.
Besides, protests have erupted in many parts of the state including the Federal Capital Territory, urging justices of the apex court to be fair in their judgment.
The tribunal had sacked the governor, Abdullahi Sule, and declared David Ombugadu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party winner of the March 18, 2023 election.
But the appeal court reinstated Sule and held that the tribunal wrongly relied on the evidence of eight of the PDP witnesses, whose statements on oath were not front-loaded alongside the petition.
In all the decided cases so far, no governor has been sacked from office.
Former All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, former governor of Nasarawa state, Tanko Al-Makura, and the incumbent governor of the state, Sule, are in court for this judgment
