Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has unveiled no fewer than 80 campaign buses for candidates of the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.
Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, disclosed that the buses were provided for the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign teams and coordinates.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, Olayinka said the vehicles were driven through major streets of Port Harcourt before proceeding to the stadium on Friday.
He explained that the roadshow was “aimed at creating awareness and building excitement ahead of the President’s visit, as campaign supporters took the message of the rally across the city.”
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the state, had criticized the president’s planned visit, saying that Rivers people still remember the state of emergency Tinubu imposed on the state during the political crisis.
