…as Speaker plans media campaign on Tinubu’s achievements in the North
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has announced plans to publish President Bola Tinubu’s achievements under a framework tagged the ‘PBAT Stewardship Account,’ with particular attention to the northern region.
Tajudeen made the announcement at a meeting between the City Boy Movement and the President at the Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, on Monday evening. He described the PBAT Stewardship Account as a compilation of the Tinubu administration’s projects, programmes and policies, detailing their impact on Nigerians.
The Speaker also urged Tinubu to adopt the framework as part of his campaign strategy ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“Mr. President, I respectfully ask that you adopt the PBAT Stewardship Account as the standard for everyone who serves under you. Your reforms asked Nigerians to accept hard truths. Let those of us who serve you now show Nigerians the truth of what we have done.
“As Speaker, I preside over a House that sees every corner of this federation at once: three hundred and sixty constituencies, every language, every grievance. No institution hears the nation earlier, or more honestly. That is the value of a strong Legislature to any President: it tells him the truth before the truth becomes a crisis.
“It is in that spirit that I announce today the PBAT Stewardship Account. Within the next 14 days, I will convene a media briefing to set out, in verifiable detail, what President Tinubu has done for the people of Zaria Federal Constituency, for Kaduna State, for the North-West, and for Nigeria through the office I hold.
“And the account will not stop at buildings. At the same briefing, I will present the scorecard of the 10th House of Representatives: the bills passed, the reforms enacted, and the oversight conducted in partnership with your administration so that Nigerians can see what this Legislature and this Presidency have achieved together for them.”
Tajudeen added: “It will not be a celebration. It will be an audit. Every intervention will carry a location, a value, and a status. And where something remains undone, I will say so, because an account that hides its gaps is merely an advertisement.”
Citing an example of the administration’s achievements, the Speaker said a 100-bed Renewed Hope Specialist Hospital opened in Zaria in May this year. He said the facility was delivered through the administration’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiative and handed over to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) for management.
According to him, the hospital has operating theatres, a laboratory, ultrasound facilities and emergency care services.
“What does that mean under the trees where our politics is decided? It means a mother facing a difficult delivery or a young man injured on the road home is now treated in Zaria by Zaria’s own doctors, instead of being referred far away at a cost the family cannot bear.
“That is not a slogan, Mr. President. It is a hospital that carries the name of your agenda. And it will be the first page of our account,” Tajudeen stated.
He stressed that “I place myself first under examination so that I may, in good conscience, invite others.”
The Speaker called on all political officeholders serving under the Tinubu administration, whether elected or appointed, to present similar accounts of their performance to the public.
He said: “If you hold a share of the President’s mandate, you owe him, and you owe the public, a statement of what that share has produced.”
