Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has signed the Osun State Park Management Bill into law, introducing a new regulatory framework for the management of motor parks and transport operations across the state.
Adeleke signed the legislation on Monday at the Government House, Osogbo, shortly after the bill was passed by the Osun State House of Assembly.
The governor said the new law was aimed at addressing longstanding challenges in the management of motor parks and facilitating the modernisation of the transport sector for the benefit of commuters and operators.
Adeleke, who commended the Speaker of the Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, and other lawmakers for their role in the process, said the legislation would provide a framework for resolving the recurring crisis associated with the state’s transport park system.
“I have gone through the bill as passed by the House, and I am convinced that it is the best solution to the perennial crisis and challenges facing the Osun transportation park system,” the governor said.
