Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Nomy, has described herself as the “villain” of the season while insisting that she remains the “main character” despite how viewers may perceive her.
Speaking during an interview with Chude monitored by PUNCH Online on Friday, Nomy reflected on her experience in the Big Brother Naija house, describing herself as a rebellious person who was focused primarily on surviving the competition and making it to the end.
“I’m a bit of a rebel. I can’t lie,” she said.
Nomy explained that she entered the reality show with a clear objective and was not necessarily interested in forming friendships.
“I wasn’t necessarily there to make friends, to be honest. I came with the mindset to win, right? Or to be there till the end,” she said.
According to her, she also refused to change her personality simply to meet the expectations of Big Brother.
“I was in enemy territory,” Nomy said.
Addressing the possibility of being portrayed as the villain of the season, Nomy said she was comfortable with the label.
“And even with being the villain, I’m still the main character. So I’ll take it.”
Nomy also reflected on the possibility of being disqualified from the show.
She noted that housemates typically need three strikes before they are disqualified, adding that she had received only one strike.
“Normally what makes people leave the house is disqualification,” she said. “To get a disqualification, you need three strikes. I was on one strike.”
She further discussed the pressure of being a housemate and the expectations that come with living under Big Brother’s constant watch.
During the interview, Nomy also acknowledged that her experience in the Big Brother house had been traumatic.
She also spoke about her family background, revealing that she does not have a relationship with her father and lost her mother at a very young age.
“I don’t have a relationship with my dad. I lost my mum at a very young age,” she said.
When asked whether she ever wondered about the absence of her father, Nomy said she did not feel the need to search for someone who had not been present in her life.
“I feel like it’s a disservice to my mum to be looking for what was not looking for me,” she said.
Nomy’s comments have offered viewers further insight into her personality and the experiences that shaped her approach to the Big Brother Naija house.
