Businessman Femi Otedola has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying their results are becoming increasingly evident in Nigeria’s economy.
Otedola made the remarks after a private dinner with Tinubu in Paris on Monday, expressing his continued support for the President’s economic policies.
According to Otedola, the reforms have placed the Nigerian economy on what he described as a path of sustainable growth.
He cited the inclusion of Nigerian companies in the FTSE Russell Frontier 50 Index, the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) reaching historic highs, increased foreign direct investment and renewed investor confidence as signs of progress.
Otedola also pointed to what he described as a more unified and stable foreign exchange market and foreign reserves of about $55 billion.
He said the developments and other economic indicators showed that the impact of the administration’s reforms was becoming increasingly visible.
“I remain proud of you, Mr. President!” Otedola said in a message accompanying a photograph from the dinner.
