Oyo guber: APM’s Adekanmbi constitutes campaign media committee

The Bimbo Adekanmbi Governorship Campaign Council of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has appointed Yinka Oladoyinbo, a deputy editor of the Nigerian Tribune, to lead his campaign media team as Director of Communication and Spokesperson ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.

According to a statement made available by the Campaign Council on Saturday, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Special Adviser on Media to Governor Seyi Makinde, was also appointed as the committee’s Co-Director/Spokesperson.

Others appointed into the Media and Publicity sub-committee are Ms. Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Mr. Dapo Falade, Mrs Bosede Sodiq, Mr. Moses Alao and Mr. Fisayo Daramola who are all going to serve as deputy directors.

The statement noted that “all the appointments take immediate effect.”

Yinka Oladoyinbo

The director of media and Spokesperson, Mr. Yinka Oladoyinbo is a deputy editor of the Nigerian Tribune. With 27 years of post-qualification experience as a journalist, he has worked with Daily Trust and The Punch as State correspondent in Lagos, Ondo and Kogi States.

He is also a grassroots politician who recently served as Secretary of Ibadan Southwest Local Government. He presently heads the Politics Desk of the Nigerian Tribune, Nigeria’s oldest newspaper.

Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa

Ms. Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa is a Radio and Television broadcast media professional with more than 16 years of experience building brands, voices, and platforms across Nigeria’s media landscape. She has built her career primarily in Ibadan, following a foundation in music production and performance in London before returning to Nigeria in 2008. She also has a Masters in Communication and Language Arts from the prestigious University of Ibadan

Ronke has twice held the role of General Manager within broadcast media.

A TEDx speaker, professional master of ceremonies, and content creator, Ronke is a regular voice on stages focused on media, communication, and personal branding.

She serves on the boards of Educare Trust and Alliance Française Ibadan, contributing to education and cultural exchange initiatives.

Dapo Falade

Mr. Dapo Falade is a journalist with more than 20 years of experience covering and politics.

He built a distinguished career at the Nigerian Tribune, Nigeria’s oldest surviving newspaper, rising to Deputy Editor.

Over his tenure, he led major political and regional coverage as State Correspondent in Ekiti and Rivers, and as the lead Senate Correspondent in Abuja.

In May 2020, he founded Newscoven, a fast-growing digital news platform delivering high-impact journalism in the new media era.
