The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Zamfara State has officially launched its 2027 governorship campaign and unveiled its campaign council, declaring that the NDC is fully prepared to take over leadership in the state.
The campaign council is headed by Hon. Aminu AbdulKadir Jelani, serving as the Director General in Zamfara.
During the formal inauguration on Monday evening at Freedom Square in Gusau, the NDC’s governorship candidate, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa, pledged to address the shortcomings of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration.

Senator Marafa stated that the NDC has entered the Zamfara governorship race to tackle the numerous challenges facing the state, particularly issues related to insecurity, youth and women empowerment, and socio-economic imbalances.
He assured voters of his commitment to addressing critical issues such as poverty, unemployment, health care, and education.
At the inauguration, Senator Marafa also announced the appointment of Deputy Directors for his governorship campaign across the three senatorial zones in the state.
