Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi has penned an emotional farewell message to her former club, Naija Ratels, after securing a move abroad.
Ebi expressed her appreciation to the Nigeria Women’s Football League side for helping her achieve her goals.
The 40-year-old defender joined Israeli Women’s Premier League side Bnot Netanya last week.
She played in three NWFL games for Naija Ratels.
“I want to appreciate and thank my Ratels family, Naija Ratels FC, for the love, the support, the respect, the honour, the comfort,” she wrote on her X handle.
“In fact, I can continue mentioning and it won’t end. To the President, Barr Paul Edeh, I want to personally thank you for accepting me and helping me achieve my goals and I thank Almighty God for using you. You all have shown me what true love, respect, unity, and happiness feel like in a team. Even as I leave for a new chapter of my story and career, I want to say that Naija Ratels FC will always be my home. God bless Naija Ratels FC.”
