The South-West Zonal Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adesuyi Daramola, has said he has no regret supporting and mobilising for the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in the just-concluded Osun State governorship election.
Daramola, who spoke after the declaration of the incumbent Governor, Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, as winner of the election on Sunday, said the support for Oyebamiji was based on conviction and the belief that the APC candidate represented a better choice for the people of Osun State.
He commended APC leaders, members and youths across the state for their commitment, sacrifices and support throughout the campaign, describing their efforts as a demonstration of loyalty and faith in the party.
According to him, although the outcome was not what the APC hoped for, the party would remain united and continue to strengthen its structures across the South-West.
Daramola said the experience had provided valuable lessons for the party, assuring APC supporters that the party’s youth wing would continue to mobilise, engage and work towards a stronger political future for the APC in the region, especially the 2027 election, towards delivering massive votes for President Bola Tinubu.
