The spokesperson for Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR), Idris Zekeri Jnr, has reacted to human rights activist Deji Adeyanju’s claim that he is ‘bigger than Peter Obi’, saying the former Anambra governor is old enough to be Adeyanju’s father.
Zekeri described Adeyanju’s comments as unreasonable, arguing that there was no basis for comparing the activist’s achievements with those of Obi.
The POMR spokesperson said this in a statement while responding to Adeyanju’s recent comments about the former governor.

Adeyanju had said he was “bigger than Peter Obi”, citing his achievements and sacrifices as a human rights activist.
“I am bigger than Peter Obi. The things I have achieved in my life as a human rights activist, he can never achieve them.
“Has he ever made any sacrifice for the country? What does he know about the democracy that he is enjoying?” Adeyanju had said.
Reacting in a X post on Sunday, Zekeri said Adeyanju’s comments reflected poor judgment, while noting the age difference between the two.
“Deji Adeyanju now seems to me like a badly brought-up fellow.
“If Peter Obi had married early, he would have Deji as a son.
“Deji graduated in 2022 for the first time. There is no basis for comparison.
“We can play politics all we want, but let’s not be unreasonable,” he said.
