The rescued pupils and teachers of Community Grammar School in Ahoro-Esiele and Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, have arrived at the Governor’s Office, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.
Tribune Online reports that 44 victims were rescued on Friday after 56 days in bandits’ captivity following their abduction in an attack on May 15, which also led to the killing of a teacher and an Okada rider.
Following their rescue, Tribune Online learnt that the victims, who were transported to a Nigerian Army medical facility in Ibadan, were placed under a mandatory 48-hour medical and psychological evaluation before their handing over to the governor for subsequent release to their respective families.
