Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has confirmed the end of her marriage to her younger husband, Bobby Maris, following days of speculation on social media.
Rumours of a marital crisis gained momentum after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. The speculation intensified further when Ogbodo and her younger sister shared cryptic posts on their Instagram Stories.
Breaking her silence on Tuesday, the actress confirmed the separation in a series of posts on her Instagram Story, questioning why ending a marriage should be considered wrong.

“I no do again nah sin?” she wrote.
Expressing frustration over the marriage, Ogbodo said she was exhausted and described her husband as the “princess” in the relationship.
“For person to tire for marriage now nah taboo because nah woman! Must it always be man must taya? My tayad is tayad! I’m tired of the princess wey dey marry me. What is wrong with that?
“To be happy as a woman in marriage is by connection in this country!
“I no do again nah sin? Make nobody push me to the wall because I be rubber. Eight years of my life is not enough yet? Maybe I should give it 20 years or maybe six feet under before the crown of thorns can fit me well,” she wrote.
Neither Ogbodo nor Maris has disclosed the circumstances that led to the breakdown of the marriage. Bobby Maris has also yet to publicly respond to the actress’s comments.
