Peter Obi has taken to X to decry the state of human capital growth in Nigeria.
In his publish, the previous governor of Anambra state stated the insufficient consideration being paid to human capital growth is on the root of most funding challenges. He stated it’s surprising that Nigeria’s price range was signed and launched to the world with out prioritizing the important areas of funding for the folks.
He expressed shock that the 2024 price range had a sum of N5 billion budgeted for scholar loans whereas a bigger sum of N6 billion was budgeted to construct a carpark for the legislators. He argued that except Nigeria cuts the price of governance and strictly prioritizes expenditure on areas of progress and growth, the nation won’t obtain any tangible and lasting growth.
